Responsibility

The City is responsible for sanitation services, as of July 1, 2019. City will pick-up residential trash two times a week and business trash every business day. The City has provided new dumpsters.

Items that MAY be placed in the dumpster:  Wastes from the preparation of cooking & preparation of food, market refuse, wastes from the handling, storage & sale of produce.  Combustible paper, cartons, boxes, barrels, wood, excelsior, hedge & tree trimmings less than one-half inch in diameter, leaves, yard trimmings, coffee grounds and feathers.  Noncombustible items such as:  tin cans, small quantities of dirt, small pieces of  rock & concrete, glass crockery, jars, ashes & street rubbish.

ITEMS THAT MAY not BE PLACED IN DUMPSTER

Items that CAN NOT be placed in the dumpster:  Tree limbs over one-half inch in diameter, logs & tree trunks, dead animals, wastes left from industrial or manufacturing processes or operations, loose earth, sand, gravel, stone, rock or concrete in quantities over four cubic feet, furniture, lumber or other bulky objects, all wastes resulting from construction or building operations and all other wastes materials not herein defined as “garbage” or “trash”.

•You are required to place your garbage & trash in the containers and not beside the container.
